Spencer with Family

We've been very lucky to have some very special members of the family come by to meet Spencer over the course of the last week.

Here are Dad and Nancy, Donna and Tom, with Terry and us after a wonderful dinner cooked by Terry at our place in San Mateo.

The most important family of all-- mom! And not just because she is the provider of wholesome yumminess for Spencer!

Spencer looking (and acting) like a little monster. An inside joke here: Little Monster ("Xiao Gui") is a playful term of endearment in Chinese.

Dad thinks Spencer is pretty cute in his oversized surfer gear...

...cute enough for a big old kiss on the cheek!

Po Po thinks Spencer is cute enough for a smooch as well.

Terry putting Spencer to sleep by reading him the Economist (Dad knows this trick too!)

"Nani" (a Hawaiian term of endearment) holds Spencer at the Nichols place in the Marina... Spencer's first big day trip away from home!

Grandpa with his first grandson!

Great Aunt Donna and Great Uncle Tom were able to come down to our place to help celebrate Eunice's birthday... but the real reason was to come meet little Spencer!

Nancy and Donna fussing over Spencer.

Uncle Adam and Rachel were able to come out for a long weekend, and got the chance to meet their little nephew.

Adam looks like a natural!

What do you think, Rachel?

Rachel looks pretty natural herself-- here in our backyard in San Mateo.

Lunch with Dad-- Eunice's first sushi and beer since pregnancy!

The Hills brought us some fantastic pizza to enjoy on the patio during this week's heat wave.... Eddie and Nate were crushed that their name suggestions ("Jota Jota" and "Juan Lin") didn't win out, but Bob came up with a new nickname for Spencer: Pez. (Long story).

Kathy's obviously had some practice!

And from all the friends and family who can't be with us in person, a small mountian of adorable baby clothes that Eunice is sorting through in our nursery. Thanks everyone!
